Hi, I’m Jeff Kanagy, owner and operator of J Kanagy Handyman. I started this business after having a conversation with a friend about how unfairly people get treated in the area of home repairs. From that conversation, I decided to take the values of honesty and dependability, combined with my 7 years of construction experience, to the people of Atlanta. Growing up, I used to watch my dad fix and improve our home. It taught me the values of hard work, integrity, professionalism, quality work, keeping my word, and being on time. My slogan is, “Service with Old School Values,” because I strive to provide high quality, trust worthy handyman services to all my customers.

I simply enjoy work and working with my hands. Bringing resolution to a problem….and the satisfaction of a job well done is fantastic! Another dimension of satisfaction and purpose is providing a sustainable income for my family. My wife and I have 4 wonderful kids. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, local coffee shops, and those local and independent cafes!

Great experience with Jeff. He's organized, returns calls quickly and efficient in getting the job done. Worth every penny!

Jeff is fantastic! I would recommend him 10 times over! Jeff is punctual, knowledgeable, detail oriented and friendly. I hired him for several jobs, including major soffit repair and installation of a bathroom vent through my roof. He is communicative and prompt with replies to inquiries. I would definitely recommend Jeff for all your handyman needs!

We hired Jeff to repair rotting fascia and a small section of rotting roof. Jeff gave a very good estimate of the job and the time frame needed to complete the repairs. of course, with wood rot the job can become more complex once pieces are pulled away and Jeff was very upfront that if anything appears to be more complex and the initial quote will change he would consult with us before doing anything. This was the case, but from his photos of the job and analysis we felt confident in his analysis and were comfortable with the very slight addition to the quote. Jeff completed the job as scheduled with great attention to detail and cleanup.

I’ve used Jeff’s services for a number of projects and he’s currently scheduled for more. I can’t say enough good things about him. He’s communicative, prompt, genial, meticulous and cleans up after himself so the work area is spotless once he’s finished. I also feel his job prices have been fair in every case. I will always call him first to see if he’s available, and will wait if he’s not.
